Ayyy, there it is

Kumusta Mga Pansit ng Ulo:)
Another solid week has come and gone. We didn't get to watch general conference yet because we get it a week later here, but we are super excited. We have been doing a lot of lessons with members that focus on prophets and the scriptures. It is actually one of my personal favorite things to teach investigators too. It is just so cool that we have living prophets leading and guiding us today. I know without a doubt that they are called of God and that our Heavenly Father is still leading his church here on earth:) Anyway, I am looking forward to hearing their guidance next week!

We had a lot of cool tender mercies this week happen to us. One of the coolest ones was on Saturday night. We had already started our fast for fast Sunday to try to find some new investigators ready to progress. Well, we taught the Deanofrata family about tithing and it went really well. Their cousin was there listening and so was Marc's girlfriend... that was actually really good news because we questioned if he were gay sometimes hahah. Anyway after that lesson, Michael walked with us out to the Jeepney stop like he always does. He likes asking us more follow up questions about parenting and about the lessons we teach. He really is so sick:) It was like 9:10, so we were in a hurry to get home on time. But as we were walking, a lady came running up behind us and asked if we could teach her sometime! Haha that doesn't happen very often at all haha. Her name is Marize SanJuan. It turns out she has members in her family, and she used to be taught by the missionaries all the time. But she moved from her province and hasn't been able to find missionaries yet. She was like insanely happy to see us and we set a return appointment with her later this week.

The other cool part about that is that it happened so late at night. We had been working really hard all day, and God put us in the right spot at the right time. Brother Michael was super awesome too! He was like telling a bunch of people that we were missionaries and that we have been teaching his family. He is going to be a super solid worker I think if we can get him baptized. It is just hard for him to get to church. He went with Sister Marize to see where her house was for us because it was too late for us. He is excited to help us find and teach her family now:)

Funny experience of the week happened in a member lesson this week. I couldn't really tell if the Dad was active or not. But we started teaching about Prophets to them, and Elder Findlay asked the 3 year old girl what the purpose of prophets were. I'm like uhhh bro she's 3 haha. Dexter was actually working with us from my old area and he thought it was funny too. Anyway the older sister started helping her out by mentioning Joseph Smith. Elder Findlay was like "Yeah who was Joseph Smith?" Then I realized that the Dad is not very active... haha he ripped the biggest fart ever! It carried on for like 8 seconds just blasting Elder Findlay with gas haha! Then he just says in a raspy voice "AHHHHHH IYON!" Which basically just means "ayy there it is." It was pretty funny.

This week we saw a Canadian girl taking pictures because she was a journalist. It was weird to see a white lady walking around haha I get why we stand out so much now! Anyway we went and OYMed to her to see why she was here. It was funny though because some kids came up around us because we were speaking English, then I started talking to them in Tagalog. The girl asked Elder Findlay if we knew a lot of the kids, and I turned from talking to the kids and naturally said "Hindi pa kase medyo bago pa po kami dito." Her face was like "whaaaaa?" Then her little translator guy was like he said they don't know them yet because they are still kindo of new here. I was like freak I just spoke straight Tagalog to a white person on accident haha. She was like you guys aren't to new here if you can speak Tagalog like that. It was funny thought, we talked to the translator guy for a little while in Tagalog and talked about what we do as missionaries. It was fun to teach about the Church in English. I have only done that a couple times in my mission so it is kinda weird when we do.

We just got done with our Zone activity. We played ultimate Frisbee with a dope little plate we have in our apartment. We don't actually have a Frisbee but it worked out super well surprisingly. Then we also just played basketball like we usually do on Pdays.

Life is good here:) Hope you guys had a super fun trip in Mexico! Mahal tayo ng Diyos!
