Sadly no email for two weeks. These are pictures from their day at the temple and much more. Wish I had more information on them. Many of you have heard about the volcano Taal that erupted and has been simmering the last week or so. The last time it erupted was 43 years ago. Graden is located about 50 miles from this volcano so not much of a threat there. The only real concern for Graden's area has been the air they are breathing. The ash has been blowing their way. Last we heard they only had one day where they were required to wear masks outside. Hoping to hear more soon. Sadly there are more than 100,000 evacuees that have left their homes as they wait to see what the volcano decides to do. Graden was lucky to be able to hear Elder Quentin L Cook speak for their stake. He was visiting for about a week and after following along it looks like he has been very busy. He was able to meet with President Duerte where he gave him a Book of Mormon and donations from the church to help with the Taal calamity. Elder Cook and his wife visited many members, government officials, religious leaders and the media. He also made a trip to Batangas where he ministered to evacuees temporarily sheltered in church meetinghouses due to the Taal volcano eruption. Pretty exciting time to be serving in the Philippines!
I am attaching a couple of links to information on the volcano and Elder Cook and his visit.
