Medyo iba ang linggo na ito -- This week is a bit different

This week for me was pretty solid! We didn't get to work a whole lot in our area which was kind of a bummer, but we learned a ton this week! We had our mission tour with President Schmutz. He is the President of the Philippines Area Presidency! It was cool because I got to conduct while he was presiding:) We stood up to recite our mission purpose and D&C 4. I was just sitting right in between President Hughes and President Schmutz and I got to start it off for everyone. Haha I was like why am I up here right now hahaha I'm just a class A noodle head. There were 4 zones that came, so it was super fun to see some of my good mission buddies again!

We talked a lot about faith, and focus. I love the concept of focus. It is one of the hardest things to master, especially when there are so many distractions going on around us every day. It takes a lot of practice and energy to be a focused person. However, when we do become a focused person, we can achieve whatever we put our minds to. I have seen that multiple times with goals I have set and accomplished in my mission.

On Thursday night I wasn't feeling too great, and then ended up throwing up like crazy😂 I felt a little better after, but then woke up in the middle of the night at like 4 am and tossed chunks again haha! I ended up not being able to work on friday but I was barely even awake that day. I think I slept for like 16 hours straight which was absolutely legendary! My comp thought I was dead😂 I feel great now though!

So basically I didn't get to work in our area on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday! I was worried that some of our investigators were going to stop progressing a little bit. But that wasn't the case this week! We both fasted for 24 hours and saw blessings:)

We ended up having 10 investigators at church this week which was super awesome!! The other elders in our house are in the same ward as us, and they had 10 investigators as well! So we had 20 investigators in our ward!! It was soooo cool:) I really am blessed to be serving in the Philippines. I have seen so many people change their lives. It is the greatest feeling in the world to be a part of someones conversion process. We had a Dad named Jeffrey come to church this week. He came and talked to me after class and just thank me with tears in his eyes for talking to him the day we met him. His 3 kids came running up to us super excited after primary to show us their drawings. Jeffrey just saw the blessing that the church will bring into his struggling family's life. He just gave me a big hug and said thank you. Soooo rewarding. Worth the heat, worth the hand washing laundry, worth the bucket cold showers, worth the lack of burgers haha, worth the random puke attack, worth the hours of studies, worth being away from the fam and friends, worth every single minute of it!! We're teaching some of the coolest investigators I've had on my mission right now! Lovin' life rn😁

Anyway, I hope you are doing good back home! Looks like the Spook Alley was a success again! Love ya guys!
