Hey fam!
Another great week in the books:) So the highlight of this week was probably baptising Gillian haha! He is our favorite kid ever haha in our last lesson with him, we wre reviewing all of the commandments with him. Earlier that day I was messing with Elder Pajarin that on his first date when he gets home he was gonna pull the "Soooo what's you favorite commandment?" Haha we were laughing at that before the lesson with Gillian, and then I asked Gillian that towards the end hahaha. He sat there for a second, then spazzed with a ton of energy and said "HUWAG TAYONG MAKIAPID!" Which means don't commit adultery😂 He's actually the first person I have done the conformation for! It was a cool experience for me:)
On Monday night last week we got a call at night from the 4 sisters in the Guiguinto house. They told us that the refused to sleep in their house that night because it had ghosts. They had seen a bunch of weird things lately and they were done with it. So we told them they could sleep at the STLs house if they really needed to. We called President to see if we should go give the house a blessing or whate er he thought we should do. His reply was awesome hahahaha. He just started chuckling like "Sorry don't tell them I laughed because this is extremely serious, but sometimes we convince ourselves something is true and it is hard to chamge our minds again." He ended up moving them out and said we will get some Elders in that house next transfer.
We are also going to have a few changes this week because Elder David goes home. Elder Chambers is going to be a new DL in that area, and Elder Aiono will work with us for this week! We will have two areas for a minute here, so we will probably just go on a lot of splits to make sure we keep each area alive haha. I'm excited though bc Elder Aiono is hilarious in our house right now:) #LionoaMafaufau
As a zone this week we got 12 baptisms! It was pretty dope! One of them was for the first Proxy baptism ever in our mission for a living person! I actually got to interview him:) He had cancer in the past from smoking, and now he has a big hole in the middle of his neck! Basically he isn't allowed to be submerged fully in water so we asked President about it a couple weeks ago and he ended up havig to get permission from the First Presidency! It was cool to be a part of it!
Yesterday was kind of Christmas here in the Philippines! It has been rainig a lot lately, but yesterday we saw SNOW!! Haha joke lang, but we did have 11 investigators show up to church!😂 It was awesome! Almost everyone that said they would come actually came haha:):)
The floods here are getting bad haha. Today we got wet playing dodgeball for our zone activity so Elder Pajarin and I didn't care about avoiding floods on the way home. We were just marching around in water about a foot deep😂 I stepped in a hole amd it went over my kneecap "baha"ha (Lol baha is flood in Tagalog)
